Goods To Follow- amount limit

I have the following question, as I am going to complete my first landing on 1st week of march 14.

1. For Goods to Follow, instead of listing category, can I mention the Amount only , i.e. I will carry goods of CAD XXX . Or is there any limit for the amount for Goods to Follow list?

2. Do I need to submit any photograph to the immigration counter for the PR card delivery.
