hi..
my consultant informed me no point in sending papers now..
the cap has very likely reached and they are still updating the numbers...
so i am out of the race..
after putting in a lot of effort i am lost.
i know canada is not the only option..
but i am defeated..
he says very likely the list will change next yr..
good luck 2 all those who applied..
bye
i dont know y u r hopeless???dont trust on consultants/agents..my agent also claimed that their success ratio is 99.9 percent..and i was that 0.9% who got NER..Buddy just go for this time...dont worry about ur documents..if CIC received ur documents after the CAP is filled..they will send back the whole package with fee refund...so relax and send ur package ASAP..

So far they have got 8817 applications as per the CIC update.. 8th March 2012

I do not see any reason for you to think as you have lost it..

Understand all desperate and most demanded people are already IN it will take time to fill in 1183 applications now.. ;)

for 0811 its only 154 applications so far.... :)

You still have at least a full month.. ;D ;D

Best of Luck my friend.. try your best and we should surely meet in CANADA one day!

Thanks SONIR.....

@Deepblues...here you go...now you have a well researched information regarding the Cap and the time you have to submit.

Why is your Consultant so pessimistic :o or is he :o :o poor in Maths??? >:( >:( >:(

Double check the application yourself for any loopholes and CHECK AND RE CHECK...and MAIL IT. :)

I send my package on 07th will be reaching CIO on 14th.

thanks a lot for the encouraging words..
i think i shld submit..
wht upset my consultant was the update in the CIC website..

deepblues ... dont trust consultants at all. just use their help to fill in the documents only otherwise an individual can do it all his self. Your consultant is dump one because how come the total CAP of 10,000 reach full if your NOC code is not fill. it is a common sense which your consultant is lacking. I think if some one knows about this forum he/she should never get consultation from any one. Submit your application with out even thinking that you have not made it. You are into it. submit it and wait for your PER which your will recieve 100%.

amir82..
thnks for boosting me up..
my consultant says its not 29 Nocs X 500 -- tht wld mean 14500 applications. Its jst 10,000. And the total as on date is nearing 8500. he says CIC is very slow in giving updations. he is expecting a delay of one month. So he says the Feb applications will make upto the cap. thts y the alert has been put up in the CIC website

WHAT IS YOUR NOC? Your answer will determine whether to send your application or wait for the round when cap is reset.

We are all behind you 100%. Glad you had the courage to give yourself a chance. Wish you the very best of luck.
Mandie

@deepblues - I wish you the best of luck too.

BUT, the way it works is that there are two CAPS. One is in each NOC category and the 2nd is the OVERALL CAP of 10,000 applications. Which one takes precedence? The Overall CAP of 10,000 applications does. So, even if your NOC is not even close to being filled, if you are applicant 10,001 your application will be refused for processing. That's it.

The reason the consultant is saying that there may be no point in submitting is because the CIO Sydney mailroom is PACKED with applications. They don't do same-day processing. The number of applications received posted on the website is NOT actual RECEIVED applications. Read some threads about NOC 1122. That NOC was filled within days of the CAP re-setting, however, the website did not reflect this. Hundreds (maybe thousands) of applications were returned because the CAP was filled although the website stated there was still lots of room on the date of submission. It would be really great if CIO Sydney could implement a system that provided ACTUAL numbers in real time. But they don't.

I'm not saying it isn't worth trying. But don't be surprised if the CAP fills before they even open this application.
