Going to applying for OWP-S In september

Hi All ,
PPl Who are going to applying for the Spouse Open Work Permit in September , please join this thread and discuss about the Pros and Cons.

I am on PGWP working in IT from last 1 1/2 year and yes eligible to apply for PR under CEC. Working in NOC B category.
I am going to apply for the SOWP in september at ND office .

Sorry forgot to include , i am also considering for applying Visitor visa for spouse .
As both OWP and visiting has the success and rejections

Mee too, i will apply for my wife's OWP once I get mine, I am hoping that I will get my visa in August.

so r u r waiting for ur wp and then once you get it , u will be applying fro ur spouse!
how long is it taking now to process the WP applications
which office did u submit

I applied under category of ICT, I sent complete package with my passport and Medicals, its taking 5 weeks for my occife colleagues. I submitted on 25th July, so expecting the visa by end of August and will apply for my wife's OWP in September. What about your timelines.

Hi ,

I amin Canada on PGWP , going to get married in august and apply for the owp in september.
I also heard that we can apply for the visit visa for the spouse and once they are inside the country they can apply for the wp.by doing this seems we can reduce the processing time.For visit its taking 15 working days and for WP its 45 working days.

I am a student in Canada, I am gonna apply OWP for my wife soon last week of Aug or the first week of sep 2013.

NOTE: Her visitor visa application was refused, so applying OWP

Can anyone tell me the required documents such as financial assets (value in #), travel history, ties to home country. How can I satisfy VO that we leave Canada after my studies by showing strong ties with home country?
