Under Section 8 PROHIBITION UNDER THE CITIZENSHIP ACT,

J While a permanent resident, have you:

* been convicted in Canada of terrorism, high treason, treason, or spying offences?
* been convicted outside Canada of terrorism?
* served as a member of an armed force of a country or organized armed group and that country or group engaged in armed conflict with Canada?

I noticed that the application only allowed me to select NO to only one of the 3 listed above. Does not allow me to select NO to all 3.

Is this a glitch I am seeing here?

No glitches there. Its a new method to reduce future backlog. LOL.

I tried to test that pdf file, seems to be a glitch. I suppose a person can make a tick mark using the pen after printing out the form or the call centre should be notified to correct the form.

I think it's a glitch.. I just printed the form and put a check mark using a pen. :)

Just glad that the form doesn't need to be validated. If they were, then that would be a problem. Can't validate an incomplete application.

Just hope that anyone that does print up the application, REMEMBER to check off the 2 missing questions by hand before submitting the application.

I wouldn't be surprised in a couple of months time, we will be hearing from some people complaining that their application was returned due to missing 2 checkmarks after printing it up and mailing it in.

The same issue exists in the application for Minor CIT 0003.

Also in the application for minor CIT 0003, under 11 Prohibitions:
K -It states to provide police certificates for each country if you checked 'YES'- For children 14 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER.

However when you see the document checklist, it says:
For children 12 YEARS OF AGE AND OVER.......................

Is this a Glitch too?!

Good catch! Those particular checkboxes are acting like radio-buttons. I've noticed another typo as well (albeit one that is minor in nature) - in part 6 question H Income Tax Information, it says 'Note: You do not need to consent to the sharing of your income tax filing history between the CIC and CRA in part 8 if you checked "NO".' - unless I'm mistaken, it should say "part 9" (specifically, part 9 question E).

I guess quality control/assurance on new forms is a bit too much to ask of CIC ???.

This week I will be eligible to apply too under the new rules and I also noticed that the end calculation from the online calculator is updated .

Now it shows separately the calendar years with the days of physical presence in Canada.

I looked it over again and see the mistake you mentioned. It is minor and doesn't affect the application itself.

The age typo is obviously wrong. It is suppose to be 14 years old and older for police report. The age in application is correct, the age in checklist is not.

Yes the inability to check off all 3 under 11. J list is also a glitch.
