Giving birth outside of Canada as an permanent resident

My wife and I both are Canadian permanent resident and if my wife gives birth to a child outside of Canada, will baby be the Canadian citizen or PR holder ?

Or the baby gets the nationality of the birth country?

Depends on if the birth country grants unrestricted jus soli citizenship.

If you both PR holder and the child born outside of Canada your child won't be canadian citizen. You have to sponsor your child to bring him/ her to canada. The child won't be automatically PR holder
