My girlfriend is a live-in-caregiver. Her employer pays her 44 hours a week , even though she often works much more. 50 to 60 hours a week is common. Right now she is applying for pr and fudging timesheets to jive with her checks. She just wants her permanent resident status. Can she get her backpay later? Is there any way? Can these fudged timesheets affect her application?

If any documentation is fraudulent (fudged, in your parlance), and CIC find out, they will accuse her of misrepresentation and possibly a) deny her application and b) issue a two year ban. Document fraud is something that CIC treats very seriously, even if done for good intent. Be warned....
