gic name mistake.....really urgent

Actually my agent has opened an account in scotia bank,,,,,but there is mistake in my name,,,,is there any way to sort it out????

yeah it will be a problem, send an email to scotia bank regarding this may be they ll give you some answer.

Scotia bank will not change details if you have already received investment directions from them.

yes they have already send me my gic details....

Actually my consultancy made 2 stupid mistakes ( thats why i was Really scared to go to agents,,,,but now can't do anything)

first they made a spelling mistake in my name...

second==i have only given name in my passport,,, no family name mentioned,,,,but they wrote my half name in first name and half in family name I mean they should have left family name blank,,,BUT THEY DID NOT..

is second mistake leads to problem in visa approval???

Writing half and half name is absolutely idiotic. They should train their monkeys better

If you have given name only, GIC form requires (mandatory with a red star) surname also. In that case your surname is
your given name there. There's no problem from visa point there. So if your given name is SKY your surname will be SKY
as well. A friend of mine had given name like you so this was what we were advised to fill-in.

you can try with the method i told you if it works for you then its okay and if still it doesnt then you can open another gic account with icici bank.
