GIC Amount transfer to Scotiabank

Greetings All,

I am from Pakisntani student and want to transfer GIC amount from my Saudi Arabia bank account. As per Scotiabank website, amount shall be transferred from personal bank account in home country.

Is it mandatory to transfer amount form student personal account in home country or transfers from personal account from country of residence (other than home country) is also acceptable ?

Someone have transferred the GIC amount to Scotiabank other than the home country?
