Ghost email after EE submission

Dear All,

First of all thanks to everyone for sharing valuable knowledge on this forum.

I submitted my EE profile on 18th November and received a ghost email on 19th November that my application has been updated. Upon checking my profile, the status was still "submitted". Is it a normal to receive ghost emails before ITA?

The forums I have come across, people have reveived ghost emails post ITA.
