Hi, I just finished high school in Alberta, Canada and got a temporary student visa for my 2 years of College. I was expecting to get my PR end of next summer. When and how will I able to get a permanent residency? I'm in Alberta.

Regards,

Regards,
How were you expecting to get PR?

If you have parents in Canada who are applying for PR, then they should include you in their application.

If you are here on you own, end of next summer is too soon to expect to get PR. You'll need to finish additional schooling and get work experience before applying for PR will be possible.

Is there any chance I can get a PR with 2 years of staying in Canada and 1 year of working?

With only a high school education? No. There's really zero possibility for you to get PR by next summer.

Canada doesn't care how long you have stayed in Canada. This doesn't help you to get PR in any way.

What matters is the number of years of skilled work experience you have, your level of education, your age, your language abilities (you will need to take a test), the funds you have available to settle yourself in Canada (you will need around $13,000 as a single applicant) and other factors.

I would strongly recommend that you get a bachelor degree rather than a 2 year college degree. You may really struggle to get PR with only a college degree.
