I am a Canadian Citizen who is planning to get married this summer. My fiancé is not Canadian and is here in Canada under a work visa. He has applied for Permanent Residency last year as a skilled worker and it has been a year and one month since. The last thing we heard is that his file got transfered from Buffalo to New York in order to speed up the process? How ever, we haven't heard anything since.
My question is, since we are planning to get married this summer, will he be receiving PR automatically? If not, how does the process work/how long does it take? Also, is it going to affect his previous PR application?
