getting job offer before landing

has anyone given this a thought?
I am planning to apply for my PR. the process is on going.

currently in Middle east i have well paying job. so want to save money as much as possible before the big move.
I am thinking, that once i have the VISA to enter canada, can i start applying for jobs? meanwhile continue doing the job as well.

Will Canadian employers consider our VISA status as a plus and offer job letter before landing?

as we have 1 year for expiration of our VISA, can we use this time to continue our jobs & search a new job in Canada as well?

am i just nuts to think in this way, or this idea is proven and people do really have some experience on trying this?

please advice & share & help others.

in my view it will be a little bit hard to get a job when you are outside Canada , unless you have a unique experience in a highly demand occupation , as the employers need to call you on your Canadian mobile number , also they may as for interview within a week from the call , so how all this will be done abroad ? . this is my view ...

This is what I am unterested to know from people who landed....and those who r about to land.....
Now days phone interview and internet interviews are very common in india and ME.
Will it not help to use this 1 yr waiting time to di the job search?
Has anyone got benefited by this?

If you want my opinion , if your visa valid for 1 year as you said , so don't quit your job for 3 or 4 months and during this apply in vacancies in Canada , and see how it will go , if you didn't get anything so there is no opinion but to land and search there, if you reached anything tell me.

From what I have gathered, employers will not consider your cv if you are not based in Canada. I've landed and returned to wind up my life, including finishing my kids' school year.

how about this scinario,
I already have Residence Permit in My passport for Middle East, I am from india....
lets say i have the PR visa in Jun-2015.
I apply for vacancies and wait for an opportunity till Mar-2016 (9 months).
if nothing happens, then i visit Canada for landing formalities....and return back to continue the job....

afther this, how much time i have, till i must go back to canada to continue having my status as PR.....

It's extremely unwise to remain outside of Canada for three years. If you do this, this means that you must then return to Canada and remain in Canada for 2 years straight without leaving for even a day if you want to keep your PR status. People who do this often find they have trouble remaining in Canada for 2 years straight because there are reasons why they have to or want to take short trips outside of Canada.

but lets say, 2 years instead of 3 years.....
that combines an overall period of roughly 2.5 o 3 years....to actually decide on the big move....
