This only applies to people who lack basic English skills. Its not making the citizenship getting harder. In fact its making the citizenship get fair. I remember when I wrote my test this one lady in her 30s was not able to answer basic questions like what is your name? Where do you live? How old are you? She was just shuffling her papers trying to give proof. It was really embarrassing. This is obviously not acceptable, having a Canadian citizenship is more to just living here and showing up at a voting ballot once in a while. So I agree with the citizenship process being fair

well international students already appear for ielts and complete there studies in English.

so ..not even by any far stretch of imagination would it make difficult to get citizenship on these grounds. on the contrary its a welcome move favouring educated people who know the native languages of canada.
