In our case, im sponsoring my wife from India and I demonstrated Job status for both me and my wife. I have already sponsored her in family class application. Im PR here. They refused her visa telling that she has no travel history, family ties in Canada and in country of Residence & assets or funds for travelling to Canada. Even I thought earlier that being her husband I'm responsible for her all travel related expenses and for that , I added a financial support letter for her. But it failed for me. I think they look for principal applicants own financial status. I have applied again. will see how it comes out this time.

For strong ties, I mentioned my wife's job in India and all our family members in India. I'm the only one living in Canada, all of my family and my wife's family is in India. For funds, I asked her father to send some money into her account and also added an affidavit on his behalf that he's supporting her daughter for visiting Canada. Hope this time CIC officer will be convinced. It's understood that a girl of mid 20's and recently married isn't capable of holding huge assets or bank balance. Hope they consider that while making the decision.

@T.Rex87

Some people have recently got their spousal PR, from NDVO, in a remarkably short time of 4 months..... I hope your wife gets her PR very soon.

flx2015, ImABule and T.Rex87...... hope you get TRVs this time

@ T.Rex87,

Sir,
Ur concern is understandable.While assessing ur wife's TRV application VO would like him to be assured that the applicant is to travel Canada with a specific purpose nd shall come back to her home country before expiry of APPROVED VISA.There are two vital components which VO KEEPS in mind while assessing the application,namely Social nd Financial ties the applicant has back in his /her home country.Stronger they are better shall be the chances of getting Visa.

In ur case,seemingly,VO has apprehension that ur wife would over stay in Canada OR may not get back to home country within the approved period of visa. Since u have already applied SPOUSAL VISA FOR UR WIFE, it may have bearing on HER TRV application in the light of purpose of her visit.

Further, funds deposited by ur father in law in ur wife's account cannot be taken as "OWN FUND"nd ,therefore, does not contribute to strengthen her financial ties.

Having said all this, I still wish nd pray that application of ur wife would get a positive result.

Good luck. God bless all !!!!

Thanks for your post. I understand that one has to convince officer that he/she will leave Canada after specified period of time. I have tried to do that as well, like demonstrating that my wife will return to her office and she has return ticket to India. But again, I know, myself being her husband in Canada, it's really hard for officer to be so assured that my wife will leave Canada after intended period of stay. I'm just taking a chance here.
For other applicants as well, I would suggest to show strong ties and reasons to return to the country of residence. May be that influence your application.
