Hi,

I'm a permanent resident of canda. I've first landed in 28/May/2008 and only been in canada for 30 days. after my first stay I went back to Israel due to military service that I had to finish thus not being in canada for more than 1095 days in total (exact number is 1125). from the begining I didn't get my PR card because there was a problem with my photograph and I couldn't come to take or deliver a new and approved one. I have landed in vancouver without a PR card yesterday and after a few inquires by CBSA I was let inside canada without the card, just landing documentation with a remark from one of the officers that I have to be in canada for at least two years to be eligible for a PR renewal.

The reasons for me not being in canada for that long a period is because of obligatory military service that I had to undertake.

I want to travel back to Israel for 14 days in April 2012 so I have to get a PR card. in the application I have to state that I havn't been in canada for more than 1095 days from getting my PR status. my question is how can I get my PR card application approved?

Thank you all for reading this,

Liron

You can wait until you have enough days of residing Canada to apply a replacement PR card at the end of the 14 days in April 2012.

I might be given a removal order for going out of canada and returning without a PR card.

I don't know how they have let me in without the PR card already.

Because you have your landing papers.
