Getting a Marital status certificate while away from Canada

Hi everyone, I am currently in Cambodia and getting my paperwork ready to get married to a Cambodian national. I need to get a Marital status certificate sent to me but I am unsure who to contact and what the procedures need to be taken if I am not returning to the country until the future. I am currently working in the country and do not want to quit my job.

As far as I know Canada does not provide such a certificate. You can maybe get a declaration of no impediment at the Canadian embassy in Cambodia? Check the CIC website for Cambodia specific marriage requirements, hopefully the information will be there.
