get back the documents

Is there a way, when the application is approved to ask for the original documents back? I mean, especially the mariage certificate and the birth certificate with the translations?

Here are my personal thoughts... and I am just guessing as we sent only copies of stuff and never originals....

You could try contacting the visa office...some of them seem to return items... other offices seem to never...


The thing is that it doesnt hurt to ask if there is any way to get it back... you are in no worse position than if you dont ask!

the thing with Colombia is that I never have originals...at the notary, they made photocopies of the originals that are kept in books.......that's how it is there...it's not like a document they print like in Canada....
