Hi everyone

Can I do my biometric in any VAC in The world after online aplication or CIC will tell me exactly where to go to submit it ?


My situation is :
I am from angola have no VAC in here, according to the CIC website the South africa consulate processes all the aplication from Angola, and many Locals fly there to submit their biometrics.

I will be going to Portugal and france for 10 days holiday and I want to take advantage of being there to save money by submiting biometrics from there.

When Applying online if I say applying from france they Might send my biometrics in any VAC in france but the problem is going to be that my only status there, is as a visitor.
And they Might send the application to south africa for processing. Or they can do it in france I dont know.

But if I say applying from Angola(my country of citizenship and residency) they Might tell me to submit my biometric in south africa wich want be good because I will spend more money ontem flights.

Can I say applying from france even though I am just a visitor in that country?

Biometrics can be done anywhere in the world and has zero to do with where your app is processed.

You give your country of residence in the app. That is not France.

Would also add that unless you get a quick refusal 10 days is not enough time to get a visa to come to Canada. You said your plan is to leave from France but you will only be there for 10 days. It could take few months to get a response.

Country of citizenship: Angola ✔
Country Of resindence: Angola✔
Country where applying from: ??

My concern I put angola wich is where I live
Or france where I will be when I submit the application and submit biometric ?

Depends on if you submit the application in France or Angola.

Just to remind you that we have no VAC in Angola and have to send the passport via DHL to the VAC from home.

I will put France then wich is where I will be phisically when submiting the application

Even though my status there is just as a visitor.

You may want to include an additional note that you are applying while on vacation because of the lack of option in your home country.

There will be a more local visa office in a neighbouring country that you can send your passport versus sending it to a France.

Sure.

Yes they may sending to a closer VAC or you could request a change in VAC.
