Hi there :) I hope you can help: I am not sure what to indicate under Immigration office requested for processing this application. I am form Germany but live in Canada since May 2012. I am planning on sending my application off by end October 2013 and then leave Canada for a couple of weeks going to Germany and maybe travelling for a couple of weeks before going back to work in Canada. I dont know yet when I will be back. So do I then indicate Vienna (responsible for processing applications made from Germany) or CPC Ottawa because I am in Canada when I am sending off my application? Any ideas or advice? Thanks in advance :)

Agreed! You are sending it to CIO, but its actually CPP - Ottawa thats processing it. So, thats the one you should be listing. Not that it will make a difference, since I've seen people write all kinds of different things in there...but CIO corrected to CPP - Ottawa before forwarding or sending back.

As already answered, CPP-O is your office of choice. However, it doesn't matter what office you
put in said field, as the VO will correct it for you if it's not CPP-O.

My suggestion would be (as it won't make a difference) to enter: The really, really, really fast processing office.

some more calryfication.

CIC officer (telephone line) told me to wirte a covering sentence saying that I am leaving Canada until the decision is made. This will make my application go to warsaw.
Ok
I don't think this discussion needs warming up :: time and time again people advise that CEC applications are ONLY processed in OTTAWA. it is well known that calling CiC gets you different answers to the same question.

I'm not sure how you feel Warsaw has good processing times - for CEC applications on the website, only one option is given: Federal. Other classes have the link to visa offices - this, surely, shows you that CEC applications are processed only in one place

There are a lot of very experienced contributors on this forum - you will benefit from their help - please, please stop giving people incorrect information - here is no way your application will go to Warsaw under CEC

hi byrwus :)

as others explained already, all CEC applications are processed in cpp-ottawa regardless of where you currently reside because only immigration officers at cpp-ottawa are trained on processing CEC.if you have applied under FSW or PNP then you have the choice between canada and the visa office responsible of processing applications from that country.
good luck

i am here to gain information.

do not tell me i am giving misleading information as this is not true.
Yes and a large number of people will tell you that CIC call staff often give out wrong information - people sometimes call several times with the same question and get different answers. 3 people ahead of you on this thread gave the same answer - If you are here to gain information maybe consider listening to people a bit more rather than give bad information (whether knowingly or unknowingly) and swear on the boards.

I'm one of them. Don't think that they actually know a lot about the immigration system.

Guys,

If CIC is giving wrong information, we have an issue here. I'd never say forum experts are a better source than CIC infoline.

I am sorry I answered the way I did but I the information comes from the "first hand" - CIC.
I gave the full context indicating the source of information.
So, Ottawa then.

and thanks,
I don't know where the call center is based and whether they're CIC employees or maybe it's just a simple call center with
guys looking up answers on a computer.
However, every time I called I got different answers from different agents on one and the same topic.
And in the end I did what was suggested on this forum, as you often get answers from people who were
in the same situation before.

Sure - but what are you, or anyone else going to do about it? It is widely known that CIC line gives wrong information --- that's why forums such as this one exist.
People here are absolutely better than the CIC line - Toby just proved it and you can try for yourself by calling with the same question several times.

I notice you haven't been on this forum very long - you'll learn a lot from here if you respect and listen to what others say. I noticed some of your sweeping statements before and people here get very stressed when they are in a tight situation or panicking over their timelines - I recommend taking a step back, observing and learning so that in a few months time you are also able to share what you've learned
