Generic Application Form IMM0008 Query

hi,
My spouse and I are applying under Canadian Experience Class. I have a son who was born in Canada and is a Canadian Citizen. My wife is presently on a visitor visa. I have 2 questions on Generic Application Form IMM0008
1. Question 3 - How many family members including you are in this application - Should I mention 2 (spouse and myself) here or 3 (spouse and myself + son)?
2. Should I add my son's information as a dependent in the Generic Application Form IMM0008?

1. just you and your wife - your son is not in this application since hes not a dependant and thus not applicable for [some of] the app forms/fee; though you will need to put down his info on other forms (dont remember the form# but its for your family members' info)

2. No he is not your dependant he has his citizenship already
you might want to provide copy of his birth cert / canadian passport etc in the app saying that he is your Canadian son though not subjected to the PR app fee and not in this application

s_w_u's advice is pretty good. I would say your son IS your dependent but not a co-applicant, so do not include him on IMM0008, DO include him on form IMM 5406, "Additional Family Information," http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5406E.pdf. And attach a brief explanation of why your son is not included on your application (e.g. he was born in Canada, include his name, date and place of birth), along with a photocopy of his birth certificate.
