Hello,

I applied to extend my Visitor Visa on Dec 21st. Just heard back now and it's been approved. Presuming the letter will arrive soon.

I'm sure it will let me know, but do I need to send my passport anywhere? (UK Citizen, Visa exempt)

And, does this extension allow reentry?

Thanks!

How can you apply to extend a visitor-visa if you are from a visa-exempt country?

UK Citizens get 180 days as a visitor but don't need a visa. Just turn up at the border and if you tick all the boxes you get 6 months. If you want to stay longer you have to apply to extend your status before the original one expires.

Then you want to extend your "visitor status".

No, you don't have to send your passport anywhere, you will recieve an official document that grants you visitor status until the annotated date.

Yeh I did. Sorry just worded it wrong. I have been approved to extend my visitor status. Does this allow multiple entry until is expiry date?

Visitor status do not grant any kind of re-entry, those are the visas.

The visitor status granted by the extension expires either when you leave the country or on its expiry date, whichever comes first.

When you leave the country, on re-entry you will be re-assessed by a CBSA officer.
