General hearing schedule question

Hi so me and a friend applied in 2019 i applied before my friend 4 -5 months earlier but my friend got his hearing scheduled before me.
Any valid reason for that ?
Noting that we both are from the same region and country.

Mine is ontario /inland office

I think it depends on your cases, people who are in danger probably get schedules earlier than others with less threat of life.

All asylum seekers have threats to their lives. Some are lucky and get expedited cases. There are many who still ended up waiting over 2 years. This is a long process.
