On cic website its clearly written that either a degree or 2 years post secondry education can make u eligible for a PR with 1 year of experience.

Someone told me that if u go for Diploma then you have to apply for PR through an employer but with degree you can apply by yourself after experience? Is that true?? Because this one is not mention that without employer you can not apply for PR. they mention 1 year of experience....

Please someone reply on it..!!

If you done diploma and if you have full time employment letter with approved skill than you are eligible to apply for letter. In ontario province, if you done masters than you dont need to carry any job letter and you can apply directly but it has 1000 limit cap. Experience requirement varies between different provinces.

Is the job skilled? If so, you should look into the Federal Skilled Worker program. You might qualify to apply through the job offer stream.

Otherwise you'll have to wait until you have completed one full year of skilled work experience and then apply through CEC.

Thank you for the valuable information.

"IT professional" is not listed in NOC list i guess.

So the only option available is to complete one full year work in related field and then apply for PR.

Is degree really matters for an int student visa instead diploma?? If masters in ur point of field is not available but diplomas which are add on to your profession.. like as a professional u will feel it will furtjer enhance ur career... !!!!! More skills.. more practicle!!
