Hi All,
I had ordered gcms notes for my parents TRV which I filed last year in Oct 2020.
In the notes its written as - application referred to CPC-O on 2021/09/29. What does this mean?
The visa office is New Delhi. I had applied last year and recently raised a PhAc approval and sent that web form. I have also applied for them on the new portal.

I have the same issue. My father is in India and he had applied from there in Dec 2020 but i dont know why in the gcms notes , a note says "Application referred to CPC-O". As far as i have read online CPC-Ottawa office is for processing Temporary Resident Visa applications from within Canada. I am a bit worried. Following for any advise. @legalfalcon

Their TRV is being processed. They should get an approval/refusal soon.

@canuck78 Thank you so much for your prompt response. Any suggestion on why the file being an outland trv was moved to CPC-O which is for Inland TRV applications processing. Also will the file be moved back to NDVO (new delhi visa office) before requesting for passport incase the application is approved? I am tensed as I read that the passport requests are sent from CPC-O and my father is in India. So not sure how would that work in case the file is not moved back to NDVO.

IRCC processes applications in different locations depending on need and backlogs at different locations. CPC-O may now be processing TRVs for family members. If approved you’ll still be able to submit your passport in India.

Any office across the IRCC network can process an application and applications are frequently transferred due to work load and other factors.

While the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR) define where an application must be submitted, they do not stipulate where an application must be processed.

Thank you so much. I also wanted to know if i need to raise a travel exemption form for the original application as well. I raised one for the new application applied on 26th Sept but haven’t heard back on it yet. The GCMS notes that I received are for the original application.
