You should wait around 3-4 months :)

That's ridiculous.

When I'm also waiting to email my VO because the package the claim they sent almost a month ago hasn't shown up but I'm waiting for the notes because I also want to question why we are in interview queue as well and I don't want to seem harassing sending multiple emails? Yeah, very ridiculous.

4sure bro, i feel you :(

Guys, im noticing ppl are not getting their gmcs on time. There is a reason why cic requested us to minimize correspondences with them. There a lot of notes that needs to be processed, and as we can see, they are way behind that at the moment.
If everyone emailed them and ordered new notes within 2 weekd after receving the notes, the backlogs will take longer to finish and works keep stacking even more.

Yeah, i know we paid lots of $$ to cic (depending on number of applicants), so we have the right to enquire about our files as many times as we want. But let's remember, small requests can snowballs into others.

I agree. I actually got mine (half) early. However gcms notes is a different stream of officers than the VOs. They have specific privacy and access to information act knowledge. It doesn't slow the visa process down. It does slow the note acquisition down.

We will be requesting ours every two months to make sure we are all up to date on info. That said, i think the VOs rubber stamping project slowed down because of summer holidays..

This could be one possible reason. But my point is we have done our part i.e. requested the notes. Now, let's be patient & wait. It's hard but what can we do? Overflow them with emails?

Day 51 of waiting for gcms notes.

We're on day 64 now....they replied back on Aug 18 (our request was submitted Jul 19) saying they required an additional 60 days to process our request which was...

"the electronic notes of the immigration or citizenship immigration officer and the application, supporting documents and correspondences sent to / from IRCC for the family class immigration file concerning <name>"

not a typical request I guess but I wanted to see which of the case specific enquiries they actually received..

I was also going to order the application and docs as well because svo stated they sent back our supporting docs with our interview letter almost a month ago and we haven't received anything.

Postal service is horrendous at best. But each time I've ever mailed anything to my wife it has arrived from Canada within 2 weeks.

My wife has gone to her local Pos Indonesia 3 times looking for the package and leaving her address and phone number each time.

Also, the only other Indonesian applicant currently on the forum recieved their package from SVO within 5 days of the date of the interview letter.

That's actually pretty good. I've (and other family members) sent stuff and it could be two weeks at best or up to two and a half months.

We cannot send anything that isn't lettermail to Russia after Putin enacting extra "checks" at the border; also regular post will not accept packages for residential addresses. It slowed down everything to the point that there are no international couriers willing to try. I found out when I sent a webcam to my wife in 2014, and it was stopped in Sheffield UK and turned around because of it.
