I had aor2 on may 10, ndvo applicant. Got notes in 32 days and eligibility not started, as expected.

Reading these posts, someone please remind CIC that time is supposed to be maximum 30 days, not minimum.

You should be fine then if you submitted the consent form.

They may ask for proof PA is in Canada

Yeah that's fine. I'll just drive her to Ottawa ;).

That begs the question then: How did I get away without not paying for the notes? I am more than happy to pay the $5, I just didn't seem to be prompted to pay

I email them any time they are late to remind them.

I reorder them the day they arrive.

Privacy Act is free, Access to Information Act is not.

I have questions.

Why would the sponsor apply for IRCC information? I understand why principal applicant would apply because it is their information being reviewed. But what data would you get with regard to the sponsor?

I applied because I want to know what is going on, so we can remediate any issues before they just spring for an interview... And I have not heard anything about my SA, and frankly that's irritating to me. I got my passport (brand new, never had one before) literally in 10 calendar days.

Thank you. Okay so you think they have a separate file for sponsor? Good to know.

Okay but why did you now each apply separately under privacy act so you would not have to complete a consent form. Plus it would be free.

By the way I am happy to know that not the only one irked by the fact that the SA has not reach decision.

The sponsorship file essentially says nothing valuable. I also ordered it after SA and it basically just told me what I already knew and said I was approved.

If you haven't even gotten SA, I wouldn't expect it to say much

If the sponsor applies on behalf of the PA you still need consent whether it's privacy act or not.

The PA can order the notes themselves under Privacy Act if they are in Canada.

They were different applications on paper. And they claim they can continue processing a PR even with an ineligible sponsor (which of course, I suspect would fail). So That signals to me there must be a sponsor application file too... but I am not sure from this side of the internet.

ImABule, we have not got SA yet. So basically getting these notes right now is a waste of time. :'(

Okay. Thanks for explaining. Can you imagine if after all sponsor is refused?

(head just exploded)

I guess it's possible, but I would suspect the sponsor should know about why they shouldn't be able to sponsor (eg: previous CIC debt, married more than once simultaneously, domestic violence, etc). So it shouldn't be a surprise to them. For me, I have none of the disqualifiers, so I suspect it would be approved. Just irritating that it's a pretty fast check for CIC to complete (on a Canadian Citizen / PR).

Can we just say that SA takes roughly seven months? This means SA for both of our submissions should be received in October 2016. What do you think?
