Hi Everyone,

I am a bit worried about the Officers Note in our GCMS Notes:

Sponsor Eligibility Decision: Passed. GCMS and paper file review completed. Relevant/material information found. Correct fees received and allocated. For PA: Student Refusal — 2015/07/21. VIO to review. Authorized Rep verified to be in good status. All Medical(s) associated to application. SPR is Permanent Resident residing in Canada. SPR landed on 2007/06/17 as a PV2 Marriage certificate on file. R.II based on: country of nationality — Lima. SPR married to PA on 2015/07/31. Application locked in on 2016/02/23. Case forwarded to visa office for processing.

From what I have seen on here, everyone else has NO relevant material/information found.
This is making me really nervous. Can anyone PLEASE shed some light on this? :'(

UPDATE: I just messaged our consultant asking him, and he just said: "Not sure. Hard to say"
What a waste of money :(

Hi Here are my thoughts...
It seems you applied for a student visa on Jul 21 2015 and got refused then marry your Spr on July 31 2015... that would be considered a Red flag... Hopefully I am wrong

Good luck!

So the relevant information is in regards to the PA, not the sponsor?

Yes, we got engaged after we submitted the student application in June, when the refusal came, we decided to get married to not lose more time. Looking back that may have been a little spontaneous, but we don't regret it.

And PA hasn't been refused entry anywhere to answer the previous question.

We are aware that we have some red flags, really looking forward to hopefully an interview soon so we can clear them all up. Unfortunately our representative suggested to just avoid every red flag in our application rather than actually adress them.

Thanks so much for your help!

Hi AG... Yes the relevant information is for PA. And it is a Red flag you rejected student visa and ten days later getting married. You have to put yourself on the immigration officer shoes... Good luck on your application! :D

Your consultant is an idiot.. You should have addressed the flags head on.

I would even consider submitting more proofs and also addressing them now before recieving an interview request.

Also, the relevant material part is not about the PA, it is in the sponsor decision note.

My wife was also refused a study permit which we applied for after our marriage. There was no note about VO to review.

We included the letter my parents wrote offering to pay my wife's tuition, a written statement explaining the changes from the study permit app such as my wife's address and the fact we didn't include her nickname or alias in the form etc and even included a copy of the refusal letter.

I agreed with ImABule your consultant is an idiot. You should explain and addressed your red flag

oh for sure, our consultant is useless.
When i mentioned to him that we had red flags and i feel like we should have maybe submitted more proof, his repsonds was: There’s absolutely nothing wrong in this application – things are moving smoothly. We had plenty of supporting documentation attesting to a bona fide relationship.
we can't wait for this process to be done so we can give him the worst google review of all times.

i'm all for submitting more proof, or maybe even a letter explaining the red flags and additional proof, except that I feel it will only slow down the process even more.
If we just wait for the interview, we can go there prepared and don't have to worry about extra delays.

Sending more proof wont delay the process that much, less that an interview for sure. I don't know for Lima VO interview queue but for singapore can be up to 2 year, I know that some VO process interview quickly. But I wont take any chance ;)

This is from another member, Islandguy2015.

"Interview was june 10,they said they wanted to waive the interview after we sent more proof in.But the interview date was already set,in fact it was just days before, that they had received the info. They had my wife interviewed for 45 mins, then me the sponsor, talked to them on my own for 10 mins."

I would submit additional information to reduce the risk of an interview. Plus, you are paying for consultant so make them earn their fee!!

I've submitted additional evidence and it is pretty easy!!!

Waiting for an interview invitation, and then the subsequent interview date will add A LOT more time to your application than submitting further documentation will.

I as well, just like htquach, have submitted further proofs to SVO.

Just want to add a drop on top of all the good advice you've received from different members. As you are preparing those solid proofs to submit to your visa office, I will advise you to write also a good cover letter explaining why you got married so quick after student visa application was refused. Admit in that cover letter that both of you thought it would be a red flag to marry so soon after student's visa refusal however, you decided to do for these reasons...
