Hi All,
I applied for GCMS note. I am a PA currently in Canada on TRV. They asked us the below one.

We regret to inform you that we are unable to process your request for the following reason:

According to our records and the information provided in your request, we cannot confirm that you are eligible to submit a request under the Privacy Act, which requires that you be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or an individual present in Canada.

In order for us to process your request, we require that you provide the information requested in ONE of the two options below:

1) If you are eligible to submit a request please provide a proof of your eligibility (i.e. copy of a Canadian passport, permanent resident card or proof that you are an individual or corporation present in Canada); OR

2) If you are not eligible to submit a request or unable to provide proof of your eligibility, please designate an individual who has right of access as your representative in order for us to process your request under the Access to information Act.

What should I submit to prove my presence in Canada? My TRV counterfoil? Please advice. Thanks in advance.

Can't you just have the sponsor apply for the notes? And include the consent form?

Yes. Your TRV Counterfoil and your travel document (i.e international passport) information page should be okay. Just a proof of your immigration status in Canada.

A TRV is not proof that you are in Canada. You need to show proof of entry or proof of residence here.

Easier to just make your sponsor apply on your behalf

HI,
Does the entry seal on my passport is enough to prove my residence?
Don't you have the passport/travel document with which the stamp was placed or any document issued by IRCC? If yes, then let any relative in Canada to apply on your behalf with the consent letter.
