LeisaP said:So I got an email back from the notes place, and they said that my file was put onto a cd and sent via regular mail to me on april 30, and that it will take about 1-2 weeks to arrive.
soo clearly they didn't listen to me when I asked for it via EMAIL!.
but at least I know its on its way I guess, just more waiting.
this could be what's happening with a few of you on here as well.
Wyz said:ok, that's a good sign..it's on its way. Must be quite long, I heard that's when they go with CD.
I JUSST got mine around 4:00pm today and I'm soo happy!!! It's my 29th day since I ordered them, and I found some useful info.
LeisaP said:your lucky! I requested mine to be sent to me by email, but I guess they decided they wanted to send it on a cd instead :-\
unless maybe the file was to big to be sent by email. who really knows
how many pages are the notes usually?
and are they easy to read and understand?
Wyz said:Mine are 31 pages long, adobe file. Basically what I got from it is that My husband's medical is in progress which I had no idea, because in Ecas, it just shows, "we received your application for permanent residence on Nov 2011" and no other updates since then :S I was starting to think my file was just sitting idle collecting dust, but lo and behold...the medical is in process, so file in process...my Ecas just has not been updated.
the values that some fields contain (as in 1 or 0) I'm not sure what it stands for, but I think there is a thread on this forum that deals with readings of the GCMS notes and what some fields like this mean. You should check that out for more understanding when you get your notes. Some fields are easy to spot and say "passed" or "continue"...in my application, I also found that they have 0 grounds of refusal...so that's a good sign I think...still looking it over, it's a pretty long file.![]()
LeisaP said:o okay! so its kind of long, well that's good to know!! its nice to know something is going on!
I know for sure all our sponsorship is passed and approved because we had our MP contact cic and he confirmed everything was passed just waiting on the final documents for the arc, so im just curious about how close our ARC is to being finalized so hopefully the notes will give us some better info!!
Thanks!
yeah im going to look for that thread, ive seen it before but never bothered to read it because we had never ordered the notes until now
thanks!
Wyz said:Have the same problem. It will be 30 days tomorrow for me. Please update us if they send a reply to your email enquiring about it, I might just have to do that as well.
singh.gurjaspal said:Could you please give me the email address on which you emailed them. Mine is day 30 today and I haven't received anything yet. Would like to check.
Thanks in advance.
LeisaP said:I don't think you can order by email anymore, That's what it said on the email they sent us back after we ordered ours a couple months ago!.
It says now you can only do it using the online system.
Here, this is what it said in our email back in april
You can now submit your request using the ATIP Online Request tool, which is accessible via: https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/
or send your request by mail.
As of May 13, 2013, we will no longer accept ATIP requests submitted by fax or e-mail.
CanadianJeepGuy said:Sorry. I should have been more specific. This email is for those who have already sent it their request and the 30 days have expired. I sent my own request via Canada Post and after 35 days I had not received anything. I called the CIC call centre and was given that email address. I fired off a quick inquiry email and received my GCMS notes via email 4 hours later.
LeisaP said:Hey guys!
We ordered our gcms notes over a month ago. The 30 day mark was last wednesday and they still havent arrived.
Has anyone else had this problem? They were either late or never received them at all?
I have friends who have ordered them and they always got them right on time or 1 week early.
