GCMC - Routine (or) Non-Routine

Well, that "someone" fed you with misinformation. What that "someone" said is not correct.

There are no tags on the GCMS notes that would classify an application as routine or non-routine. Routine/Non-routine is not exactly an application status - It is just an understanding that is based on the facts of the case. For example, if IRCC wants to scrutinize your physical presence and sends you a Residency Questionnaire (called RQ), then the general understanding is that this particular application is considered "non-routine" (You won't actually see the words "non-routine" anywhere AFAIK). So, if you see an impending RQ request on your GCMS notes, for example, you can assume that the application is non-routine. Other than that, there are no tags anywhere on the GCMS notes (at least none that I know of) that will explicitly say "routine" or "non-routine".

Here's IRCC's take on what could constitute non-routine:

https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1169&top=5
So as per their website, application is non routine is they requested fingerprints. I see a lot of people got asked for fingerprints would those all be non routine?

Not sure what is FOSS, but it says FOSS: empty (or) blank for me. Not sure what does it mean.
Seems most have it empty. For me and my wife, it shows empty.

Mine says FOSS Doc # empty & FOSS: N under Paper File section.

not even sure if it has to be yes or no, god knows lol
This is what FOSS is according to one website :

https://meurrensonimmigration.com/the-cbsa-databases-ices-foss-cpic-and-ncic/

Field Operations Support System (“FOSS”)

FOSS is Citizenship and Immigration Canada (“CIC“) and CBSA’s shared database. It contains millions of records about all CBSA and CIC contacts with non-Canadian citizens. It specifically contains information on any immigration records and violations. It is gradually being rolled into CIC’s Global Case Management System (“GCMS“).

The FOSS enforcement database includes information about previous and pending deportations, overextended stays by visitors, individuals who fail to present themselves for Immigration hearing or voluntary departures, warrants used by immigration, Interpol information on suspected and known terrorists, intelligence lookouts and individuals refused at ports of entry. It also contains the “work in progress” or “watch for” information.
So, as long there isn't anything related to FOSS on your notes, that's gotta be a good thing, I guess.

There you go. That explains the "Location: I". It isn't actually "I" - Looks like it was redacted (but they didn't do a good job redacting it).

This is what it says for S.22(1) :

Does it specify a sub-section (a, b or c)?
Hello i need help
