GCkey for sponsor??

can someonlet me know if the sponsor also needs to create their own GCkey account and link it to the application?

I am the principle applicant and have a GCkey and linked it to my paper application but wondering if my husband as the sponsor also needs to do the same?

Its better to link the Principal Applicant (PA) GCKey account to the sponsorship application.......after the Sponsor is approved to be eligible to sponsor.........the application is associated with the Principal Applicant's application for Permanent Resident (PR).

No.......the sponsor does not need to create their own GCkey account and link it to the application.

You could share the GCKey login and answers to the secret questions information with your spouse.

Hello. Did u link ur husband’s email to ur gckey? I have the same question actually. Does it work that way? Does ur husband still receive email from cic after u link ur application online? Thanks

You get email notification when your account has any changes.
