I don't think you can call them from India. I called them earlier from within Canada for my hubby and could not get through to an agent. ours is asking for more documents..his medical had expired last month but no request for a new one!..we submited on June 2016 outland..our 1st anniversary was yesterday since it was received..God help us.
In some cases they do extend the medical, so you might not get to do it. However there are cases where they might ask you to redo it since it expired. I think you should be good if they already said you passed the medical, if they havent looked at it yet, then you may get a request to do it over. It all depends on them!!!

Yes you are right! That's why i called CIC yesterday to make it sure if they were really asked for medical request and 2 agents said YES and wait for 5 days for the message/email.so for me , its not a false alarm
Hi Marrianne730,

Could you please share your time line, just want to know is it sufficient duration between your File number receiving date and medical request. In my case I also get the same email, called agent but couldn't get hold of any..it was all on automated voice mail...I got the file number on 25th Feb 2017, since then I haven't heard anything..Now I also got the same notification..not sure if it is correct or false... but as there is sufficient duration so I am still hoping for the best..Thanks.

Yes, you right because my husband got email from VO told they didn't send anything, no required for medical check and have to wait...so only be patient again

Hi friends, just got a call from Delhi high commission after reporting technical issue. They said they haven't sent any medical request yet. So showing medical request on GCKEY is system error.

I was under an impression that furtherance tests are asked as soon as one does medicals and application submission doesn't have any bearing on that. Looks like it's not the case.

Greeting Marrianne730,

Are you a in-land applicant?

Hello Wolforever im outland

Thanks Marrianne730. This may explain my concerns.. It seems like CIC process out-land applications faster than in-land maybe. I am in-land applicant, and I received my file number on April 5 2017, but I haven't heard anything so far beside the "med exam with no message" issue...

Yes totally true, outland is more faster than inland

Well that's my case. I called twice yesterday. And 2 agents told me exactly the same information about the medical thingy. I think You should call as well so you will know the status of your application.
