GCKey Account for PA using Sponsor's email?

Hi folks,

Can I as the sponsor create a GCKey account for my wife, the PA, using my own email address? We did not send in the "Use of representative" forms with me as her rep. Therefore, will they question the fact that her application and GCKey accounts have different emails?

Also, I just received my sponsor AOR1 email today. Should I wait for the PA AOR1 before linking accounts?

The spousal sponsorship has 2 parts.....(1) Sponsor Eligibility Approval......(2) Principal Applicant Permanent Residency.

After the Sponsor Sponsor Eligibility is Approved.......all communication is primarily directed to the Principal Applicant PR.......the spousal sponsorship is really about your spouse getting PR.......so use your wife email for GCKey.........after creating the Online Account, the login details and secret question answers could be shared between you and your spouse........so both have access.

Better to link Application to Online Account immediately after you receive AOR1, and you have the UCI #.

Could you confirm that there are two AOR1s? One for the sponsor and one for the PA? I should use the PA's UCI # to create the GCKey account right?

AOR1: IRCC Mississauga will send AOR to Acknowlegde Receipt of Sponsorship Application Package.

After Sponsor Approval, Application may be transfer to VO.

AOR2: VO processing the Sponsorship will start processing the Application. Some VO don't send notification.
................so when you check Status and you have the 2nd line.....and the Date on the 2nd line is after your Sponsor Approval Date, take that as your AOR2.........

1. We received your application for permanent residence on XX 00, 2000.
2. We started processing your application on XX 00, 2000.

Yes, use the PA's UCI # to create the GCKey Online Account.
