Hi All!

After months of waiting to get my ECA, I was finally able to submit my EE profile yesterday. I was disappointed to learn that I did not receive 25 points for 3+ years of work experience since two of my paid, over-the-summer-internships do not count as work experience under my NOC. However, in four months, I will have accrued three years of full-time work experience. I am wondering how will my EE profile understand that? How will I get those much needed 25 points? Current CRS is 456. Please help!

Anyone? Please?

After 4 months your profile will be updated automatically. good luck for ITA. Not a big wait compared to others. you will receive a mail saying there is an update in your EE profile. keep cheeking it.

Please keep in mind, they do not take dates into consideration and so your profile may get updated much before 4 months ( starting of 4th month). If in between you get an ITA, make sure either you decline and wait for another draw or send your completed application only after you complete those 4 months i.e 3 years of work.

Thank you so much, @bestofluck! This is super helpful. I am also considering taking TEF to get more points for second language ability, but next time the exam will be hosted in my city is November. Am wondering if this is worth the money?

IF you just want to do it for ITA , I don't think you need it. You will get ITA with your scores over 480. Even you will have PNP chance with all new PNP's coming up with new quota. OINP will start somewhere in November. Check PNP's if you qualify. you will surely get an option. you can send EOI to Prince Edward Island now if you want and if you get a chance to apply it will be fine.

you will get EOI form here

Many, many thanks! I thought I need a valid job offer from an Ontario employer to qualify for PNP. Am I missing something?

No you don't. OINP send you PT if your score is above 400, but it is paused for a while due to exceeding the quota which shall open in November with a new quota for 2017.. Meanwhile utilize your time sending EOI to PEI as I said, or just wait for the 3 yrs work exp to complete. Nothing can happen overnight. We are waiting since 1.5 yrs. having got PT from OINP and applied since December we are just waiting and waiting for nomination....you are in a far better position.
