FWS VS CEC for one has Work Permit in CANADA

Hi, there.
I work in CANADA with Wrok Permit from this month(August).
I have heard FWS application except who has work permit is close till next year.
so I can still apply for the PR by FSW but not sure how long it will take.
In additon, It need to have work permit on the processing.
but CEC need not keep the work permit. It just need 1 year experience.
If I apply CEC in next August, I can stop this boring work with PR processing.

How many month do they have gap between this year's FWS and CEC in next August?
What do you think about this?

And Which one is better and safety?

Both PNP and CEC are pretty safe : :
I've heard ppl applied both and withdraw the other one when the first one got approved.
