Dear members
pleas advice on funds, after showing proof of funds in Indian banks , how to convert them all to Canadian funds, does banks allow this anyway, like my bank said they wont issue more than 2000 cad, how do members did then and carried their funds when they entered Canada, please advice
thanks

Hi Prmalr
1)You can carry the 2000 CAD your bank is willing to issue,

2)then you can either carry the rest in bank drafts if your bank has a corresponding bank in Canada ,

3)or travellers cheques .

4) In the worst case scenario ,you could carry the CAD 2000 and open a bank account in Canada, then return to your country to send the funds by transfer from your account in your country to your account in Canada. That can be done for any bank with a SWIFT code. you don't have to show the funds in cash when you land ,bank statements suffice.
