Funds for temporary visitor record??

Hello everyone,

I'm going to apply for PR in Feb last week under CEC. My work permit is expiring in Mid June 2013. So, i'm thinking of applying for Temporary visitor record to stay in Canada while my application is under process. Does anyone know how much money i need to show in my account to get TRV???

I would really appreciate your suggestions!!

Apply PR asap and then apply for Open WP once you get the AOR.

yes thats the plan but if i dont get the AOR till the end of may 2013 then i have to apply for something else to stay here... i need to see the other options as well

Reference the following 2 links. Should give you a good indication of the what you would be looking at. I would venture to think that the amount would depend on the time you have requested, in addition to the purpose. Meaning, if you asked for a 3 month extension to travel - it wouldn't only be living expenses, but travel expenses too. Also, making sure that you have enough funds for the airfare home and so forth.
