Funds Available?

Good evening!

I sent out my PR application today.. but will be needing to extend my visitor status to stay while it's being processed ( Outland ). I have already been here since September, 24, 2016 under a visitor record..

With that being said. I am attaching a letter stating that my boyfriend/common-law partner will be providing every thing I need while I live here in Canada.

How much $$ should I write in this? He makes 90k a year salary plus bonuses, but we really don't have a "Savings" right now. Although, we do have some money coming over the next few months.

Should I put the 90k? or should I put another amount?

Also! I am extending to stay.. I am writing that I am extending to stay and visit with my common-law partner while we apply for PR. Is this ok?

Hi

For funds available, put how much it costs to support you x how many months you are asking for + some extra. Include a few of his recent payslips.

You can put "waiting for sponsorship app to process". Include the fee receipt as proof of the PR app.

Also, 8 weeks before is a bit early to apply for an extension. Wait until closer to the expiry.

Thanks! I'm not sending the application until March 1st! But because I don't know when they'll be asking for CSQ from Quebec / Medical / and Background check, I want to make sure that I'm not letting my extension be forgotten about!

Just trying to save myself some stress in the end...

I also have another question - which seems a bit of negative thinking...

But if I didn't satisfy them with proof we've been living together for a year and they deny my application ( because that is really the ONLY thing I can imagine that I didn't satisfy.. We have 2 kids together..)

Can we get married and re-apply right away? Or would we need to wait a certain amount of time.

I have a back up plan / place to go back to in the states.. but living separately from my boyfriend / our kids is not an option.. and I just want to make sure we're planning for every thing.
