Just wanna know what is benificial
Disclosing property, jewellery and saving over 350,000 $ in India and UK. Or just $ 30,000 funds which we initially bringing with us while landing .
I ask as someone told me that you won't get any benifits if you shows substantial saving .
I looking to give 6 month before doing any job as needed couple of exam and short prof certification in my line which will took 2-3 months time plus expecting baby in 3-4 month of landing so wife won't working too.
It's not I have some issue with survival jobs, but I had work lots from management position in India then move uk and start life quite few survival job from Macdonald night shift, warehouses, call centre before getting my Engeneering job and then got ladder up as Network supervisor here .
So I want to give some time to get proper job plus spend time with my family enjoying initial days in Ca.
I am not depending on benifits but if getting something then to be honest I don't mind ,
Got one 6 year old child. Can any one tell by experience how much child benifits we get ,
Plus do we get any tax credit / working tax credit or whatever we say there?
I definitely not looking to work in first 4-6 month, i hope , Either I will get some prof job or will open some business By end of 6 month.
In short. What is practical Pos and cons of declaring all savings or hiding most of them while landing .
Please tell by your personal experience how much one can get .
I saw that 6 year old child will get somewhere around $ 120 every month ? And newborn child will get same amount too.
Do we get anything if we decide to pay for Child care (which will be $40-50 a day so 800-1000 per month for each ) in case my wife decide to do some work later on .
In UK we get 80% back from govt.
