Full time Legal work hours in BC + Overtime

Hello everyone!

How many hours I am legally allowed to work in a week if my work requires more than 40 hours a week & more than 5 days a week?
My shift will be either from 9AM till 8 PM
Or maybe from 12 PM till 10 PM

What I should do to be completely legal and not having issues with the government and I pay tax so I'm just new and I'm worried and excited first time to work in Canada!!!

1. Depends on the Province (you can work as many hours as you want) in BC, after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week the employer must pay overtime rates.

Thank you sir ! I really appreciate it I had concerns that I'm not allowed to work more than 40 hours a week or even more than 5 days a week I thought it was illegal as what I saw in your link I can work as many hours I like !!!! Thanks again very useful information.
