Hi,

I have worked for a company in India fulltime remotely from Canada during the period of my study permit while physically present in India.
During this time, I did not get paid in CAD, I got paid in INR and paid income tax in India.

Is this going to be an issue in PR application?

Thanks

If that company is not affiliated in any way to Canada or Canadian clients, no issue in regard to PR application as long as you don't claim any points for that.

Thanks for the reply. It is an MNC which is operating in Canada as well but I am not planning to claim any points for that period.

Even if you aren’t claiming points you shouldn’t have been working for over 20 or 24 hours (depending on when you worked) if there was an office in Canada. You may also have to explain how you were able to work full-time and study full-time. Were you also working for another employer in Canada for an additional 20 or 24 weeks depending on when you worked?

Well, I worked on IST timings (during nights) and attended school during days. No I did not have any employer in Canada not even 1 hr a week as a student.

You still had to have time to sleep, study, etc. The bigger issue is the fact that they had a Canadian office and you worked full-time hours.
