Hi All,

Can any one help plz..

In which stage can I make sure that my points are enough for immigration. Do u think that by receiving the second LOR? or in a later stage? I am afraid that my points are below 67 and want to make sure that by receiving the second LOR my points are equal or above the required points...

Thanks

Hi Hanein,

Actually receiving 2nd AOR doesn’t mean that your points are 67 or more. It is just acknowledgment from the visa office that your full documents were received and a new file number has been created.

When your E-CAS changes to "In Process", at that time you will be sure that a visa officer has reviewed your documents and he was satisfied by these documents (sometimes he may ask for additional documents).

Good luck.....

Hi Canadaou,

Thanks for your reply.

So what I understood that by changing my e case to In process, that means that my points are equal or more than 67 and my file may be get rejected but for other reasons not because of the points. Please confirm.

Hi Hanein,

Yes you are right... and in case any applicant has a change in E-CAS to "Visa office Review completed and decision made" before "In Process" to my knowledge that means rejection and one of the possible reasons that 67 points not reached.

BTW why do you think that your points may not reach 67, although CIO already calculated your points and accepted your application???

Wish you all the best.....

Thx Canadaou..

Kindly note that I have submitted my file to Canada and my file is recommended for further processing.

My Friend confirmed to me that I will get 20 points only for education and no points will be added for the undergraduate certificate because it is less than 2 years full time studying.

Could you please tell me how many points that I should receive based on the following factors:

1. Education

Primary 6 Years ,Intermediate 3 Years and High School 3 Years . Total is = 12 Years Full Time. ( Saudi System)

Undergraduate Certificate in Accounting= 9 months (On-Line From Strayer University)

Bachelor degree of Computer Information Systems = 4 years from Jordan

2. English

IELTS Results

Listening 7
Reading 6.5
Writing 7
Speaking 7

3. Wrok Experience : 9 years in the World Bank - United Nations: under 38 category to qualify FSW. My experience is basically in Accounting, budgeting, Computer Programmer and Trainer.

4. Age 29

5. No arranged Employment

6. Adaptability

I am divorced no children, My X-husband' sister and her daughters have the Canadian Nationality but I don't have copies of their passports and I lost their contact.

If I don't meet the requirements, How can I improve my score to reach 67. I tried to get more points in IELTS but could not.

My question is Can I qualify under the Skilled Worker category even if I score less than 67 points?

Here is the answer I found in one of the websites:

Yes, Canada accepts Skilled Workers based upon their ability to become economically established in Canada. If the Canadian Immigration Visa Officer believes that the point total does not accurately reflect your ability to become economically established in Canada, the Canadian Immigration Visa Officer may use his or her positive discretion (referred to as substituted evaluation) and approve your application even though you score less than 67 points.

However, at a minimum, you must have worked continuously for a period of at least one year, within the last ten years, in a full-time (or part-time equivalent) paid position at a skill level recognized by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

Additionally, you must meet CIC requirements to have either

1. one continuous paid full-time year of work experience in the 38 qualifying occupations in the past 10 years;

2. one year of legal residence in Canada as a Temporary Foreign Worker or International Student and currently be residing in Canada; OR

3.Arranged Employment.

Your inputs is highly appreciated.

Hanein

As to my calculation you got 70 points to the minimum, it means that you may get more.

Wish you all the best

Hi Vaibhavvd
Congardulation,

what does it say the letter you got? is there any valuable information on it?

Best wish

Behabitu

Hi Behabitu,

The letter, i guess, is a standerd letter. it does not specify any pinpointing stuff.

My e-cas status reads as "Your application and supporting documents were received by the London England office. They are pending review.
We transferred your application to the London England office on March 30, 2010. The London England office may contact you." Not a word less or extra.

Vaibhav

Okey, I hope to recieve it soon.

Have a nice day.

Hi Hanein,

I am sorry to tell you that your points according to my calculations will be 65, putting in consideration that I have excluded " Undergraduate Certificate in Accounting= 9 months (On-Line From Strayer University)" as I don’t know if the visa officer will consider it when calculating your points or not!!!!

If he will consider your education as "Obtained a university degree of two years or more at the bachelor’s level and completed at least 14 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies" = 65 points.

But if he will consider it "and I hope so": "Obtained two or more university degrees at the bachelor’s level and completed at least 15 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies" = 67 points

Really I wish you good luck and may God help you....."Pray for God to help you"

Best wishes,
CANADAOU
