so sorry to answer even if i'm not the one being asked.

but i think you should obtain an employment certificate from your current employer because on another thread, an applicant has the same case as
yours and the application was rejected because of lack of proof for his current employment.

he/she was not able to provide documentation for his/her current employment due to the same reasons that you have.

so better think it over. if you are really serious about your application then i think you should provide the needed documents. it's better to be safe than sorry. just my advice...

Dear pshhe,

You should not be scared to ask your employer to give a Reference Letter.
Reference is the utmost imp letter for Canada PR Application.
So you have to get it anyhow.
No employer will deny to give a reference letter and he cannot deny it by law.
If you are working then he has to provide it.
Now the trick lies with you as to how you get it.
Tell your Manager that you need a reference letter and also give him a face time line of around 2+ year and tell him truthfully that you are planning to migrate canada.
You should not lie to him.
All Managers will only remember this thing for a day or two and will forget it later.
So chill, relax and get your letter and apply.

Can you tell me if you received your AOR on 23rd Feb or your AOR was dated 23rd Feb?

This information will be helpful for me to assess my application status as my AOR was issued on 22nd Feb while it reached me on 2nd March.

we actually rcvd our aor same time. but my status change to IN Process ahead. It really depends on visa office.is it stated in your aor that u need to contact them? in my aor it is stated that i need to contact local visa office in the absence of communication within 45 days. I got medical request on the 47th day after date stated in aor.

same time line here, mine AOR was issued on 23.2.2010 i received it on 2.3.10.
