You will receive the second AOR in a couple of weeks - people have rcd it from Delhi in 10-15 days. But the second AOR is just an acknowledgement of receipt of documents. It does not indicate eligibility review complete. Only when receive the call for medicals can you be really sure about the points!

STS

Hi STS,
I think we do not need to wait till Meds to know whether my application is eligible or not. In 2nd AOR they clearly stated that "Before my application is placed in processing, a determination will be made as to whether or not we are eligible for processing. If application is not eligible, they will send letter informing reasons."

In this case, i will pray god and keep my fingers crossed till my ecas status gets changes to IN Process.

Regards
Brad

Hello Brad,
I am glad you finally received your 2nd AOR!
The AOR - is exactly what it says - Acknowledgment of Receipt. Therefore, until the status changes to In process, we all need to keep our fingers crossed! :)

In New Delhi, the typical process is - status updates to In Process followed by request for Medicals within 2 weeks.

Hello Chander,

Am afraid I don't have a direct answer to that question! Clearly, our 2nd AOR indicates that it will take atleast 3 months for CHC to do something with our files. We probably won't hear much atleast until Nov/Dec.

However, some analysis done on other threads (full documents sent in March/April) indicates that the New Delhi office is processing files in the order of the file transfer date (mentioned on your e-case status). Currently, applicants whose file was transferred from Nova Scotia to New Delhi in January are receiving medical with status change to in process. So, another way to look at this would be to compare your file transfer date and calculate the date when your application will change to in process. With this analysis, if our files got transferred in July and we submitted full docs in August, we should hear something only early next year - Jan/Feb perhaps.

Having said that, each file is unique and it is not easy to compare your file with another applicant only based on the file transfer or AOR dates. In all, the processing depends on the quality and usefulness of your documents and ofcourse the completeness of the application.

Hope this helps!

Regards,
STS

hi STS

does it mean visa office process the file as per the file transfer dates not the date of full doc's submitting?

thanks

I can't say for sure. But the current trend for applicants who submitted full docs in April indicates the same. People who had an earlier file transfer date are getting in process status sooner than others.

2nd AOR said the typical processing time at New Delhi is 8 months and that I should contact the office if I don't hear anything after 3 months.
What about you?

Ok. Mine is same. Some guys were told on email to contact after 8 months so i was verifying.
Yours is AEO category too?
I think AEO should definately be faster than normal cases.
