Can you provide some details on verification call?
1) At which stage it is expected.

From what I have learnt on this forum, the background checks begin after your file is initiated into processing and may even continue after medicals. The verification call is a part of this background check and may not be done for every candidate. It is either a random check or a way to establish the authenticity of the documents submitted.

2) After how many days after 2nd AoR it is usually happens.

There is no specific time period. However, it is better you tell your references (HR/Supervisor) to be prepared to receive such as call anytime within 1-3 months.

3) Any other detail related to verification calls

Some candidates on this forum or their families/supervisors have received such calls. You can search on the main page to look for candidates who had this situation. The bottomline is - the CHC is checking for consistency in the information you submitted and the information they collect on the phone. And they don't ask too many questions - typical ones are where does the candidate work, for how long, what are the job responsibilities.

Manoj

Hope this helps!

Pulling the August ND Full Docs thread...

Thanks STS for useful info :)

Hi STS,
Can you tell us more about RPRF? I found that its 490 CAD and request might come up with Medical requests. How come there is no information about the forms and when to submit. Could please share us if you got more information.

So a successful principal applicant should go through three fee's? i.e. processing fee, RPRF and landing fee? or RPRF and landing fee is same?

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Brad

Hello brad,

The RPRF (Right of permanent residence fee) fees is required fees for landing. There are two fees - processing fees (submitted to CIO) and RPRF (submitted to local visa office - only for adults over 22 years of age). While the RPRF is refundable at a later stage, the processing fees is not.

http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/pr_fees-frais_rp.aspx?lang=eng

RPRF is typically requested by the visa office at the time of issuance of medical/PPR. However, there are some claims on this forum that sending the RPRF along with the full documents makes the process 'faster' by 15-30 days.

Hope this helps!

Regards,
STS

I don't think there is any 'preference' for any NOC code. The preference is already indicated by CIO by issuing the list of high demand occupations!
Keep the faith. The process will unfold for you soon...
