Canadian Goverment Traffic Rules

An unexpected and undesirable event, especially one resulting in damage or harm is known as Accident. Accidents are all too common on Canada roads so,Canadian Goverment apply some rules i.e Traffic rules which should be strictly followed . According to my research i personally found some of accidents occurs due to negligence of immigrants who are unaware by the traffic rules of Canada.Through this article i will put some light on the traffic law/ traffic rule of Canada.

Most traffic laws that Canadians tend to violate are speeding tickets and parking violations. When Canadians drive in the US, they should be aware of how the traffic ticket system works.

Speeding Ticket fine :- The faster you are traveling, the higher the fine. Many US states have a higher maximum speed limit than in Canada. Many U.S. highways have a maximum speed limit of 65 mph and in some as high as 70 mph.

Seat Belts:- Evertime you are driving in canada you should tie your seat belt Children who weigh less than 40 pounds are required to be secured safely in a car seat while situated in a moving roadway vehicle.

Cell phones are banned:-Drivers are advised not to use a cell phone of any type while driving. Fines for using a handheld cell phone start at $45 and can go up to $180.

Check your Speed limit:-The speed limit in canada city is 50 km per hour and 80 km per hour on highways. The maximum speed that drivers can travel on rural highways is typically 100 km per hour, which is about 60 miles per hour. The different province has the authority to establish its own traffic laws, so adhere to posted speed limits while driving throughout the country.

Right Of Way:-Pedestrians always have the right of way. when someone is standing at a designated location, intending to get to the other side, it is the driver's responsibility to stop at a safe distant away from the other road user and allow him/her to cross to the other side.

Stop at School Zones:- Flashing lights in a school zone mean that drivers must stop for a school bus. If you are convicted of failing to stop for a school bus in a flashing school zone, you could be fined $400 to $2,000 for the first offense. You will also receive six demerit points against your driving record. Second offenses receive fines in the range of $1,000 to $4,000. Depending on the severity of the offense, you could also be ordered to serve up to six months in jail.

Driving License:-An individual of age 16 yrs can apply for driving license. Drivers must pass a graduated licensing program before receiving a license. While training for the full license as a teenager, you can only carry up to two passengers in the vehicle and are limited to driving between 5 a.m. and midnight.

Process for paying fine:-

When you sign a traffic violation ticket such as a any kind of fine, you are acknowledging that you are going to appear in court. If you do not appear the court can then place a bench warrant for your arrest. So,it is better for an immigrant to go through the traffic rules applied by Canadian Government if he wishes to drive taxi for earning his bread.

No change in status. Still RBVO. I guess there has been no significant updates from our friends except 2 or 3 for the last few weeks. Wonder whatz happening? Looking at this pace, seems like most of the March file tranfer candidates would have to wait for one more month for an update.

God give us patience and help us all!!!

Regards,
Sakhi.
