Dear all,

Want to update all that we had our ECAS update as Decision Made on Saturday, 1st August 2015. Yet to receive PPR though.

Our details are on the right. Key points.

1. No agent. cic website as bible
2. Points based on our calculation was on the brink, 67.
3. Preparatory activities in June 2014 end.
4. Getting "Maiden Name" PCC was a challenge
5. Also some furtherance tests & queries after medical
6. At RPRF time, vo asked for 18 years onwards Personal History
7. Planning short landing in Oct, Toronto for now...and move in April 2016

Finally got my passport today with visa affixed along with COPR letter. Two photos were submitted along with the passport for each applicant. They affixed one on the COPR and returned the other photo. Do we need to keep these photos and provide them at the time of landing?

Dear forumites.

Need your help yet again. Although I have been reading each and every post from you guys. Perhaps, out of excitement not able to recall what to do next. I am in Bangalore currently.

Do I need to take appointment form VFS? - no need to take appintment.. we walked into bangalore VFS directly.. took 1 hour for the process
Does height details exactly to be what is in the Meds? - Yes.. but a difference in a cm shouldnt matter..
My wife is out of town. Can I use our recent photographs with required spec? and write and studio's name in the back as I do not remember the place? - I guess that hsould work.. VFS guys dint even verify if we have written the address or not

Any other suggestions?

Hi,
I was in a similar situation as yours.

Application received by Nova Scotia on 28th Nov'14
Medical request received on 13th May'15
Medical done on 28th May'15
Medical sent on 30th May'15
TLU updated on 3rd June'15
Submitted name change proof in Indian Gazette on 15th June'15.

Since then waiting . They asked me PCC in maiden name, but my wise's passport is in new name and she also had UK visa in 2010-12 and travelled with me during that time with the current name.
Now as you know passport office does not issue PCC in maiden name before marriage, so I went to Dy. Police Commissioners Office and also they refused to issue PCC in maiden name before marriage as there is no rule in Indian constitution to issue PCC in previous maiden name. So I arranged PCC in current name from Police Commissioners Office and submited with RPRF receipt and documents of my niece in Canada.

Could you share with me how shall they take my case and what should be my next course of action.
