hi CIN1117, nagpadala lang kami ng new nbi kasi pa expire na yung kasama ng app ko nung dec 2014. hindi sya directly hiningi sa letter. pero may binanggit sya about sa nbi don sa letter. medical and RPRF lng talaga hiningi. Sept 10 ko na nakita yung second, third and fourth line sa ecas. Sept 30 ko naman nakita yung fifth and sixth line update.

anyways, ask ko lng po sino po may idea dito how much mgsend ng balikbayan box papuntang Canada? chca may limit b yun? at also, kelngan pb ideclare un if mauuna samin dadating ung box? or kapag to follow lang?

I have some questions mates... ???
Please enlighten me..

1. Where to buy not so expensive tix for 3 persons (one way ticket for me and two way tickets for my son and husband)?
2. Since it cheaper now to buy canadian dollar, where is the best place to buy it?

Magandang Araw Forumates!

It has been 2 weeks since we landed here in Ontario. Very smooth ang landing experience namin, thank God!

Fall season na and so far Ok pa ang weather -- maaraw pero mahangin. Can't believe na 22 degs ngayon haha! Sakto Thanksgiving Day ngayon dito The lowest temp we experienced in our short stay is 5 degs -- sa gabi. Based na rin sa reports, magiging relatively kinder ang winter this year because of El Nino -- sana nga!

Tama ang mga sinasabi, madami work dito basta huwag mapili especially this time of the year maraming seasonal jobs.

Good luck everyone! See you all here, 'wag mawalan ng pag-asa!

When my husband and I landed at past 9PM, customs muna ang punta -- dito tinanong sa'min how much money we're bringing in (settlement fund). In our case, hindi na humingi ng proof basta sinabi lang namin yung total. Dito rin hiningi yung declaration form (w/c you can fill up sa plane pa lang) tapos tinanong lang kami if we have anything more to declare.

Next stop immigration na, may area for 1st time immigrants. The officer asked for our landing papers (COPR) and visas. We were also asked for our address here (where the PR card will be mailed), contact number and some personal info. We waited a while, signed the COPR then that's it, no further questions, on to the baggage claim.

After collecting our things, may final check (parang customs pa rin) before going out. Tinanong ulit kami if we have anything to declare (usually food items na bawal at kung may 'to follow' na mga gamit). Basta ang mindset dapat ay declare everything, though we made sure din na wala kaming dalang maaaring masita para less hassle na rin. FYI lang, may mga kasabay kaming hinalungkat yung mga dala nila. And some of their items were literally thrown in the trash right in front of them.

We also prepared a list of all the things that we brought (as in lahat -- in duplicate) just in case hanapin. Pero hindi naman na hiningi yung list (may form pa nga talaga para duon). We were ready lang just in case. Wala nang further inspection sa mga gamit namin, ni walang binuksan (siguro na-scan na rin sa xray even before we got them). Then off we went.

Seniors, ask ko lng po, we wer asked by CEM to provide original bankbooks for additional documents, we submitted them last Sept 20, 2015. How long po kaya timeline before nila ibalik yun? coz we cannot transact with the bank until we get our original passbooks back. And usually po ba kasabay na un ng MR and RPFR?

Send ka ng email sa kanila para malaman nila na kailanagan mo yung bankbook.
Binalik sa akin yung WES and PCC ko kasabay ng visa and passport.
Ang MR and RPRF is sa email mo marereceive.

Hi lexy0319 and baluyot0910, you can also get CAD sa mga banks. Hindi nga lang makukuha same day kase they don't keep third currencies sa mga vaults nila. 3days po lead time for orders.
