hi winteriscoming. i think it applies to permanent residents returning to Canada; so those who have landed or settled na dun as they should have been issued with a PR card. so for first time immigrants, i think whats needed for landing are just those documents provided to us upon approval of our application like visa on our passports, CoPR, etc. Once we have completed our landing and settled na dun and then received our PR cards, then it will apply to us na. hehe basically to me it only means na permanent residents na lumabas at babalik ng Canada by air must present their PR cards or permanent resident travel document (which ever applies) and valid passports when they return. kasi may nabasa ako before, kahit daw expired na ung PR card does not necessarily mean di ka na PR, so there are options like applying for permanent resident travel document if you are outside Canada and do not have a PR card or your card is expired. eto po ung link:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=065&t=10

"Note: As of March 15, 2016, permanent residents returning to Canada by airplane will be verified before boarding to ensure they hold a valid permanent resident card (PR card) or travel document. Don't delay – get your PR card today. This card is official proof that you are a permanent resident of Canada."

Sir VLAN, thanks for the feedback. Medyo confused lang ako since hindi kasama sa list ng "Who should not apply for a travel document?" and new immigrants. Tapos meron din guide to get a Permanent resident travel document under new immigrants.

Hello everyone! Visa on hand na po kami last Friday 21 august. This is after almost a month of my PPR. last stage na pinaghintay pa kami ng SGVO pagkatagal. But who am i to complain? God is good! Visa issue date namin is 31 July 2015. Expiry is 15 June 2016 (which is expiry date ng passport ko). I didn't have a chance to renew my passport na since matagal magpa appointment sa SG. Ok lang naman daw magdala ng 2 passports.
My husband being the principal applicant will land first September 30. Cathay via HK to Toronto $790 USD. We booked through St Raphael.
Thank you po sa lahat ng tumulong pagsagot sa questions. Really appreciate it. Big help ang forum na to. Congrats to those who finally have their visa and to those who are still waiting, keep the faith.
To a friend (i made in this forum) hehe pinoysg2010, abang abang na po. This week na yang PPR mo.
God bless sa lahat!

Hello pace_s congrats! All the time, God is Good! Anyway thank you sa post na ito from you kasi I'm really worried na they will turn back 6 months na ibibigay na visa validity simula sa expiry date ng ating passport. Mine is May 2016 so I was worried na December 2015 ang ibibigay nilang visa validity. Marami pa kasi asikasuhin dito sa Pinas. Atleast I'm a little relieved na base sa passport expiry ang binigay nila sayo and I'm hoping the same with mine. You saved me days of sleepless nights :'( LoL. Waiting na din ako for my passport to be back anytime soon so medyo excited na din. Salamat po and Godspeed.

Hi,All.

Been quietly following this thread. With God"s grace I got my medical request today, no other requirement was asked. I am a September 8, 2015 applicant under the registered nurse category. Two of us got our requests today. I solicited assistance from a freelance agent, costed less and the service is more personalized. Lets keep the prayers coming. God bless everyone!

Hi Everyone,

I want to share some good news - I just checked my email and I saw the PPR email dated today! Can I ask for some assistance to update my details in the spreadsheet?

For those of you who have your PPR/visas already - how did you send you docs (passport, photos, appendix A form) CEM? If via courier, which courier did you use po? Thanks!!

Hello! Yup kailangan niyo magpa sched for PDOS. Kailangan din po hawak niyo na yung passport with visa stamp. Hindi na po sinasama ang mga minor. Nasa website po ang full details. Paki share po ang inyong timeline for the benefit of all the members here. Good day!

Hello po, Need po ba dalhin ang passports ng mga kids (though hindi sila need to attend sa PDOS) during sa PDOS ceremony, need ba tatakan ang passports nila or sa parents lang? Thank you po sa mga sasagot.

fellow members please update your profile timeline

<======== How to update profile timeline?

On the top right, you have a bar where one of the options is "PROFILE". If you click on it, you should see your statistics and to the left, you will have a menu where one of the options is "Forum Profile Information". If you click on it, you should get the page where you can fill in the dates. Then click the "Change Profile" button at the bottom of that page.
