Congrats to those who got MRs and VISAs this early 2015.

Just want to ask anyone who has ever tried to request for GCMS notes from the Manila VO?
I read from dmac about the Bring Forward Date
I also have read about GCMS notes from an applicant from SGVO which looks like it has the information ng timeline and about the steps or procedures na napagdaanan na ng apps.

Any idea?

Hi, the GCMS notes have all the accurate information for that particular applicant's file. Makikita mu dun your timeline from the very beginning til date. Once you have opted to order the notes through a 3rd party representative with a fee, you will only be able to received it 30days after.

Its only recommended to order such, if you feel that your app is way beyond the normal processing time. Just to have an idea of what's going on.

Below statements are what i got from a very knowledgeable applicant who himself ordered the notes from within Canada, since he's already there and it's free for him..

I have ordered another set as soon as I got the notes (you must know that they are generated few days after request but delivered on ~30th day, so the information on them is not up to date). The status of assessments will give a rough idea of timeline to ppr.

I don't know if records of visa applications are retained forever by CIC, but you can definitely apply for GCMS notes after visa issue or even landing. It's very comprehensive, over 40 pages of information.

I got his 2nd response. Since i intend to order the GCMS notes after the eventual landing in Canada when God permits. Pra makita ko rin how they went through my file. Would be interested to know as well.

We have the same NOC! Although my application was received on Sept. 23, the PER on Jan. 7.

The actual MR is in PDF, attached to the e-mail. My Internet was kinda slow, so I was shaking and screaming while waiting for the file to load. Lol.

CIC received my app on July 2. I got my PER on Oct. 27.

Admins, please update my timeline in the spreadsheet. Thanks!

Actually, not so soon. I intend to order the GCMS notes for my file after i land na in Canada..heheh ;D

Hi guys, just had my medical yesterday. I'm pretty much covered in anxiety right now, sana mapasa agad ng SLEC BGC ang result ko sa CEM. Would anyone know their number where I can ask or do follow-up if napasa na nila? I failed to ask yesterday or same lang siya as the numbers posted in their website? Hope someone can reply.

Congrats sa MR! Magkalapit ang timeline natin.. My application was received July 14 and PER on November 11. Sana next na rin MR namin. Hopefully within the month..Lord make it happen, pls..

"Citizenship and Immigration Canada is under fire for failing to tell permanent residency applicants that the program for which they were applying had met its cap several months ago and that their efforts to stay in Canada were essentially a waste of time.

Vasco Castela is one of those affected.

He has been teaching ethics full time in B.C. for seven years, but once his work visa runs out on Friday, his teaching days are over.

Originally from Portugal, Castela—who has a PhD in ethics and teaches at two Metro Vancouver colleges—first applied for permanent residency in 2013, but was turned down because he didn't meet the required number of working hours. He says that's because CIC failed to take into account any hours not physically spent in front of students teaching, such as prep time and marking.

Two months ago, with the expiration of his work visa approaching, Castela applied again with the correct number of hours, but his application was returned—unopened and unprocessed—because the cap on applications had been reached.

'Absolutely outrageous'

Unbeknownst to Castela, the CIC had hit its cap under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) on Oct. 22, 2014 and did not post this information to its website. It had previously announced it would accept 8,000 applications between May 1 and Dec. 31, 2014.

As the CEC program was being terminated at that point, there was a surge of applications from people trying to get in before the new Express Entry system with new criteria launched on Jan. 1, 2015.

But the information that last year's cap had been reached in October was only made public earlier this week—more than two months after the fact.

"It's absolutely outrageous," Castel told CBC News.

His opinion is shared by Toronto immigration lawyer Michael Niren.

Grounds for a lawsuit?

"In Canada we're supposed to have what we call the rule of law and part of that means consistency and predictability and reliability," he said.

"When you change the rules of the game so quickly—and in this case without even announcing it—it's not acceptable. Applicants are basically just shooting darts hoping that they stick and it's not good."

Experts say Castela is among thousands of people now left with little hope of staying in Canada thanks to a systemic failure by government.

"They have an obligation, a procedural fairness we'll call it, to announce on a timely basis when a cap has been reached and they obviously haven't done that...There could be good grounds for a class action suit."

Castela says from the day he arrived, it was his intention was to make Canada his home, but he doesn't expect to qualify for permanent residency under the new program that went into effect this year. Still, he plans to apply for a visitor visa in an attempt to buy him a few more weeks while he explores his options.

"I am very angry," he said Friday. "I'm angry, and I'm going to say goodbye to my students today and yeah, it's going to be a very emotional time."

CBC News asked CIC to explain why it did not inform the public that its cap had been reached two months ago, but it did not provide an answer. "

Maliit na ang chances ng inadmissibility at that stage. Pero sa rule nila at any point of the app or even after makuha mo visa mo, pde nila cancel ang visa for misrepresentation kung may madiscover silang something sa yo. Anyway, kung ppr ka na, congrats. God bless on your next stage.

To those who are done with medicals, did you go to IOM Manila Health Center or St. Lukes? Apart from the difference in cost, which clinic is faster in terms of sending the medical results? Appreciate your reply / sharing of experience. Thanks ;D 8)
